House Republicans are working overtime after a lengthy White House meeting to meet President Donald Trump’s demand for a big budget package that includes some $3 trillion in tax breaks, massive program cuts and a possible extension of the nation’s debt limit to allow more borrowing and prevent a federal default. Meanwhile, the International Criminal Court on Friday called on its member states to stand up against sanctions imposed by Trump, saying the move was an attempt to “harm its independent and impartial judicial work.” The court got plenty of support from traditional U.S. allies in Europe who are standing up against Trump’s executive order.
